Holiday Fun

Chilling Out

by Chrissy710

Oh how I love my holiday
No housework to endure,
Instead just laze around all day
This is the life for sure

And if I feel the need to see
The sights around the town,
I’ll take my time to stroll around
Do shops both up and down.

And if I find a little treat
That takes my very eye,
I will go in, not hesitate
To claim my little buy.

And all the sights I will take in
A photo one or two,
Then post them on my facebook page
So you can see them too.

My cares and worries dissappear
For time is now my friend,
But yes I know I must return
My holiday will end.

But while I’m here, I’ll drink more wine
And sunbake till I’m black,
I’ll make the best of time allowed
Before I do come back.

I’ll go out for a slap up meal
Enjoy a juicy steak,
And after that the fair I’ll go
My husband I will take.

And I will ride the elephant
I’ve seen down at this fair,
Cause really I am not too old
And if I am; don’t care.

I am on holidays at a beach town called Portland in Victoria and I am enjoying the relaxing atmosphere while camping and having plenty of time to do what I love ?¢??Writing Poetry?¢??

I wrote this while sitting in the restaurant having Tea and overlooking the fair ground foreshore

I told my husband I wanted to have a ride on the elephant hence the Photo LOL

I am really a big kid at heart and at 65 I reckon an elephant ride is still an option

Thanks for reading my work and sending good wishes and Cheers to you all here on FanStory for a fabulous 2018
