A body tale

by joeruptak

Before I go on, let me say
my body was not always
like it is today.
Once I had muscles galore
sadly they are not there anymore.
I had a stomach six pack
that was my pride
now it is like a beer keg
that I cannot hide.
The hair I have left
is scraggly and gray
and I lose more of it every day
my body has become a farm
where wrinkles grow
from the top of my head
to my big toe.
I have gotten old
and I hate to confess
the body that was my pride
is now one hell of a mess.
