Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
Children scattered the holiday not so much fun anymore.

Christmasing by Ourselves

by HarryT

XMAS Contest Winner
Children spread far and wide across the country
Now spending the holiday with families of their own
Christmas table no longer full of smiling faces
Our tree no longer fills the corner of the room

Instead one little Charlie Brown on a small table
Ornaments fewer, Rudolf's nose doesn't light
No more stringing outdoor decorations
Just a wreath and bow on our front door

Two of us alone on Christmas Eve
At least we still have each other
Open presents and sit by a blazing fire
Turning pages in our memory book
