A chapter in the book I and my husband, Robert

How much more can we take?

by robina1978

I think by now you all know my husband (Robert)

The last time I wrote might have been yesterday. Today he had to go for a kidney examination. The result, and that is all he heard from a new Doctor, is he has to stay in for a fortnight. This is how long the catheter stays in. I don't know if they saw damage in the kidney, or if it is a just in case decision.

According to our home help who visited him today, he might have gained some weight. Nobody wanted to put him on the scales for me, as I flapped out: 'I'll take him home, if he gained enough weight.'

The poor thing still sleeps a lot during the day. I forgot to ask if he slept better during the night.

It seems that Newton's law is ruling in this hospital. They already crippled him a few years ago.

Our Doctor stands by and just lets the shrink make a judgment. Anton, our shrink will see him tomorrow.

I had to cancel my sister for Christmas, because even if he would be home, her dog is too big and boisterous for Robert. She also informed me that all hospitals are equally bad nowadays in this country.

As you will understand I cried my eyes out after this news. So nothing got done, NOTHING AT ALL.

Please keep us, but mainly Robert in your prayers. They might well help better than doctors do.
