Rescued

I was left adrift
on a stormy sea,
when faith and hope
abandoned me.
You tied your boat up
next to mine,
pulled me to shore
just in time.
Held me close when
times were rough,
to say thank you
seems not enough.
My empty heart you
filled with love,
you are a gift from
heaven above.
My tears flowed free,
you dried them all.
Restored my pride,
I now stand tall.
You took my fear,
made it disappear.
Whenever I need you,
you're always near.
Thank you for being
all that you are.
In the blackest night,
a shining star.
