This work has reached the exceptional level
That fresh breeze of love

Like a southerly change

A southerly change hits our shore
It's like a breath of fresh air
Monotony's something I abhor
A change makes you aware

Your love is like a southerly change
A refreshing change from the south
It takes you in my life to rearrange
As my lips come reach your mouth

A brand new slate, a brand new swell
A brand new attitude
Was getting bored of this dry spell
Now the day has been renewed

A southerly change will change the day
Especially when it comes with rain
Not much more I need to say
No need to really explain

Enjoy the day that has broken
No blue skies to be seen
A new lease of life has now awoken
I think you know what I mean

A southerly change on the east coast of Australia is that very cool change in the weather on a very hot day that blows up from the south usually late in the afternoon bring refreshing rain. After weeks of dry hot weather is a refreshing change to have.
I added a verse using this analogy of the change as refreshing as new love
