The complex feelings of an unwanted pregnancy.

You lived in me
before I knew
You lived in me
soaked in fear
You lived in me
and I hated
Hated you. You
I should take
you so small
so Alive
I have stood at
the tops of stairs
I hated you .
You Thing
You so small
came with contractions
no sound
LOOK they said
A Boy!
I would not
no fearsome
You came broken
you so small
so feared
You lived in me
and I hope
never knew
How much I
hated you.
LOOK they said

Writing Prompt
Sadness has overcome us all at one time or another. Either caused by a relative or close friend's death or from the girl or guy that broke our heart or just life in general. We all handle situations differently, some good, some bad. This contest gives us the ability to explore this. Your poem can also play into other emotions that are common to writing like this such as anger or depression.

The loss of a pregnancy not wanted. My baby was very sick and passed away soon after his birth. The sadness of it, the guilt, it never fades.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
