The innocence of childhood

THE INNOCENCE OF CHILDHOOD

The innocence of childhood should never be lost
Let them live the dream, whatever the cost
To lose one's youth so prematurely
Is a certain proof and shows quite clearly

That a person has "grown up" just way too soon
Hasn't experienced the wonder, dancing with the moon
Don't rush that time, let them savour those years
Of the innocence of childhood, without sorrow or fears

We were all once children, we all had those dreams
Let them live the moment, dangle feet in streams
Fish from the river, throw pebbles across the lake
Don't take those years for granted for heaven's sake!!

Ah the innocence of childhood. We all grow up too quickly I think we can say we have all missed those days of growing at least one time or another
