Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
That inner pain

The hurt in Suzie's eyes

by DR DIP

THE HURT IN SUZIE'S EYES

I could see the pain as I looked at her
She just could never disguise
As I wiped away another tear
From the hurt in Suzies eyes

It's really hard, you try and reach
Reach out! My God how one tries
So many things in life to teach
But for the hurt in Suzie's eyes

Suzie could be anyone of us
She's lost her self esteem
She never really makes a fuss
She's lost her only dream

If only we could understand
That pain that lies within
If only I could take her hand
And help  return her grin

Sadness is now her only world
She's lost her will to live
All this unhappiness withheld
I had so much love to give

So life goes on without
The girl I realize
Wish I knew what it was about
The hurt in Suzie's eyes

The hurt in Suzies eyes

Suzie could be anyone who is suffering inner mental pain.
We need to reach out before it's too late

Recognized

I wrote this poem using the name 'Suzie', but 'Suzie' could be anyone out there suffering inner turmoil, inner pain but does not outwardly show it. To all the "Suzies" out there
We are here for you express your pain tell us your feelings, your hurt and your sadness.
We are all a shoulder to cry on. If you know a 'Suzie' reach out and hold her tell her that you are there for her feel that hurt in suzies eyes.
Whether it be depression, self esteem. or physical pain we all need to be monitors and compassionate observers and all ask the question, can I help?
