'In the beginning'

by Rasmine

In the beginning, our relationship was wonderful. We would go out to movies, lunch, dinner, even do our housework together. The lovemaking was out of the universe, and the tender moments of just spending time together were astronomical. I thought I would spend my life with this man; I mean we were great together. Not only was I attracted to his physique, but his mind allured me. His knowledge of past cultures and mating rituals was quite interesting, and we could talk all night. Holding a degree in archeology helped make our talks fulfilling -- I wasn't talking to a buffoon! I loved comparing our relationship with people of long ago. One thing I discovered is that not a lot has changed in centuries. In the beginning, we were high in heaven, that was before I discovered who he really was.

In the beginning, our love was cemented in gold but that gold soon turned to vinegar.
One person suggested:
In the beginning, I was positive I would marry him.
