The kind of Man you want to marry.

Marriage for Keeps

by Betty Rosenstein

There were very few men in my life, and rarely did I date,
When all was said and done, it must have been fate.

It wasn't the way he walked, or the way he held my hand,
The kind of feeling he gave me, was that of a storybook land.

His patience and his character were far beyond compare,
When I really needed help, he was always there.

He had a dry sense of humor, and I laughed when he was near,
When in his loving arms, I felt safe with nothing to fear.

His intellect and thoughtfulness was more than the average Joe,
He included me in all he did, and always took things slow.

The kind of man you would want to marry, and I did
Together more than 67 years, I still feel like a kid.

It's only now I realize that our union is quite rare,
I'm thankful for our love and the beautiful life we share.
