A poem about a word that ii like to save

Crap hat

by robina1978

I like to keep old words saved.
But many don't want it aged
I wonder who knows this word?
Hubby certainly never heard so never heard.
He was never in the army,
harmed for life by his abusive father,

He also never carried a sword,
fights for him not bothered.

But he never spoke bad about soldiers.
Use of the word cap hat
meant crap to him.
His father made him dim.
Mind you, he does not like hats at all.

Some beautiful English words are sinking into the Swamp of No Return, AKA oblivion. Bring one out, wash it off and use it in a contemporary way in a poem or essay. Humor is encouraged, but please keep it clean.

¢??Crap hat?? is a derogatory term for the standard (originally khaki, now dark blue) beret worn by regular soldiers in the British Army, in contrast to those worn in the special regiments (typically red or green).
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
