This work has reached the exceptional level
End of a tough life

by Auto-Manic

There it sat
my ol cowboy hat
upside down waiting for tips
another glance, aint got shit.
And so it goes with a broken string
another shot of Jack can't fly on one wing.

Outside smok'n pot
just don't care about the cops
in the alley the jazz goes down
with another broken ol' rodeo clown
old calloused hands and a painted tear
guess it's time for another beer.

Yup OK another song
maybe I'll have just one more bong
too many nights spent alone
wonder'n how much longer this shit goes on.

They say that God has got a plan
Hell, he don't even know who I am
just a busted ol cowboy that wants to cry
too long in the sun, tear ducts dry
more bones broken than I can count
noth'n left just want out.

But who is that with a beautiful song
don't even know just hum'n along.
She's so damn beautiful, but why's she here
"Hello Cowboy. One more beer?"

One more beer, one more smoke
one more everlast'n toke.
She takes my hand we start to float
where we go'n?
Home cowboy, home.

Been there and seen it, the death of an ol' cowboy.
