I thought you might like to read these notes I found on Google. So, we are APES!!
Chimpanzees are apes, which lack tails. ... Monkeys are small primates with tails (usually), and most are arboreal. Chimps (and Gorillas, and Orangutans, and Gibbons AND humans) are APES, not monkeys.
