Room for Vent

I know I owe you rent,
But my credit's badly bent.

I am not a charity agent,
Pay up or find yourself a tent!

As an appeal for mercy this is sent,
I really don't have one red cent.

Your room is for "let", not lent,
get out, or your head gets a dent.

I've gone far away, without resent,
but I think I left the gas on, without a vent.
