There's a Dog in My Bath

by tfawcus

There's a dog in my bath. I'm not sure why!
He's my very best friend and so I'll try
Especially hard to balance the boat
Reminding myself we must stay afloat
Enjoying the fun of this strange new life.
Surprise is the essence! Surprise, the spice!

Ahoy there, Pablito! Let's sail away!

Down the dark plughole. Here we go... wheee!
Off on adventure, my doggie and me,
Going glug, glug, as we set out for sea.

Imagine a waterslide down to the ground
Now that would be fun, whirling around

Manhattan's East River and into the drink
Yikes! We've sprung a leak, so before we sink

Back to the bath tub with soapsuds to splash
And then off to bed , for I've done my dash,
Then dreams about dogs, adventure and play,
Having fun with my friends as days drift away.
