Painting Rainbows

by patcelaw

When my children take time to call me
what they quite often do not realize
in those minutes while we are talking
they're painting rainbows in my skies

I'm sure when we have finished talking
there surely must be big pots of gold
waiting at the end of each colorful rainbow
our conversations have memories I can hold.

So daughters keep painting rainbows in my skies
For each of you are the greatest in this mom's eyes.
