Forty people coming to dinner
Fare to be is not for the slimmer
Mother and one daughter given the chore
of baking potatoes, some fifty or more

But restraints there are to completing this task
A change from roasting they are planning to ask
For the one oven has limited space
And time involved is like running a race

This mother is a friend of mine
I have tried to convince her that all will be fine
