All That Jazz (a diatelle)

by June Sargent

All
that jazz
Razzmatazz
Cool saxophone
with New Orleans pizzazz
Art Deco sounds with bolder tones
Music penetrating deep down to bones
Touching heart, mind and soul the genre did enthrall
Big band swing blaring from old gramophones
No time wasted on telephone
Even in Alcatraz
it was well known
None sweet as
cool jazz
y'all
