Fall Patterns

by Joan E.

sycamores seem
to hold hands at a ravine
limbs reach skyward

papery bark
reflects sun's bright rays
leaves swing in ruffles

This post was inspired by this week's drive to my Pasadena poetry group, along the Arroyo Seco Parkway, meaning "dry gorge" and the first freeway in the U.S. My thanks to FanArtist dragifortuna for the parallel abstraction.
