Dear Aunt Netta Jacobs

by Abby Wilson-hand

Dear Aunt Netta Jacobs,
I know we have always had Christmas together since I was a baby, till i was grown. My thoughts of you have never gone away. We have spent so many Christmas times with you and your mom My great aunt Gladice. I have loved you so. It was years later that I had met up with you again when aunt Gladice died.

I knew we all promised to stay together, I had always knew you had moved to Washington, I thought of you many times especially around Christmas.
I had tried so many times to find you, so many times I missed our hugs. You would sit and braid my long hair as I fell asleep for a nap, I miss you more than you could ever know. The last time I tried to find you my sister said you had passed away.

I'm so sorry I didn't get to say good bye to you, or be there for you till the end. I will never forgive myself for not keeping in touch. I'm sorry you had to go alone, I'm sorry for many of thing's, I could have said so many beautiful things about you at your funeral, I don't even know if anyone showed up and I I'm truly sorry.

I'm Sorry contest entry

I miss you more than you will know and all the love you gave me when I was little. I will always remember all the Christmases together to prove to you how much I loved and missed you I named my son Jacob.
