let the world wash off your back
but search its windows


Writing Prompt
Write a three-lined poem. It is an unrhymed poem with 17 or 19 syllables. It has the following syllable count: 5-7-5 or 5-7-7.

This poem was inspired by my poet friend Kathabela Wilson, who is traveling in Portugal and sent a photo of herself at a stream with a duck. For me, travel provides windows on the world.
