Good Things are Gonna Come

When you do wrong
it can be a sad song
seemingly endlessly drawn

out to seem
that even in dreams
you feel like you're only a pawn

In the chess game of life
there will be strife,
but be in a cheerful way!

For these hurdles are
to make you look farther
than just that scene
or that day

Rollin and tumblin`
shouting then mumblin'
something about the blues

Two wrongs ain't right,
so fight the good fight
when it comes to payin' your dues

Think outside the bubble
and then when trouble
comes your way, you could:

See it as learning
for your heart is burning
to set things to
be as they should

When things are their worst
and your dyin' of thirst
that's when you should strive to
DO RIGHT!

Then when you leave
and your kin are bereaved,
(from this shell taking flight)

No one really knows
where exactly we go,
when we go from this flesh
to the air,

but good things will
come to you, I know!
When you stay out of
darkness' snare

I am a living example
so please don't trample
on my beliefs or my ways

For when you look deep
and don't try to keep:
anger, or unforgiving

You will feel the ways
of the sunlight's rays
of bathing the space,
and the living

So if you are smart
please do your part:
instead of taking, try giving!
