A 9/11 flight (An English Sonnet)

Never Again

The plane had taken off at times before,
but now this once it wasn't clearly seen,
for on this day they'd be as many more,
as mine would not return my Angeline.

Her golden hair and beaming smile had brought
me happiness and joy to fill my soul,
yet there she took a ticket I had bought,
and climbed the plane that never reached its goal.

If I could draw a string that held back time.
I'd pull it back with might and not let go.
she took a flight that hardly made its climb
and I will never see her life to grow.

Her spirits glow with vigor shown so bright
and I'll no longer tuck her in at night.

This is not an autobiography!!!
But I'm aware that there were many children
involved in those planes crashing and on the ground.
God bless them all...
