Teardrop

A single teardrop is crying out
For the healing of humanity
It cries out for love and peace
Praying hatred will one day cease

A single teardrop shrieks with pain
Seeing innocent people being slain
By terrorist acts and vicious deeds
Families are broken and in despair

***

A single teardrop cries out with fear
Could it be the teardrop knows
This world is totally out of control
expecting end  of time is near

**

Yes, this teardrop shouts out still --
praying for grieving hearts to heal

*

For truly, "all lives matter"

 
As this teardrop rolls down my cheek
    I will continue to pen as I allow
my heart to speak............
