Like Pontius Pilate

'More Opinions, Politics & Comments' ~ #42-401-B

Like Pontius Pilate he washes his hands.
Careers won or lost upon where he stands.
Comey passes the decision to Lynch.
So, the fix is in, it's a lead-pipe cinch,
that one lays down and another one swears.
We have to wonder if anyone cares.

There are those who insist the system's rigged.
Lady Justice prevailed, she then reneged.
Some continue to believe she's sainted.
Win or lose her reputation's tainted.
If scales are unbalanced before the law,
then this is our Republic's last hurrah.

FBI director Comey passed the baton to Attorney General Lynch as to whether to indict or not Hillary Rodham Clinton for her e-mail misuse. He made the decision not to make a decision. Whether we love a candidate or not, no one is above the law--so they say. Is this true? Do you care?
