Heart of Gold

by BeasPeas

'More Opinions, Politics & Comments' ~ #41-401-B-C
Her heart is golden from her point of view.
Aching bones creak weary, her teeth are few.
Loose dentures clack when she attempts to chew
She daily dons a dress of blue, her chosen hue.

Disposition's gray, not yellow sunny.
Fancies herself to be sweet as honey
False smile is forced, thinks nothing is funny.
She's dour, green apple sour and stashes her money.

When temper flares red, her wrath's brassy bold,
old stories retold with penchant to scold.
She complains a lot, it's hell growing old.
Still, she's convinced her hateful heart pumps pure gold.
