A chapter in the book Euthanasia Betty: An Anthology

Society Against Life (SAL)

by johnwilson

Fear is an acronym in the English language for 'False Evidence Appearing Real'.
-Neal Donald Walsch

Nomen Nescio finally decided to be an individual society
no longer identified or labeled.

Conventional knowledge
had formulated his ideals--
churning and suffocating his reason--
squandering his own beliefs;

and like worms
they fed upon his only desires

Instead of falling in love
Nomen got married
in a church
filled with flowers
cut from their home-ground and
accepted his dutiful responsibility as rightful honor.

Work busily engaged every day
by unheeded deadlines-
while nights silently suffered in tired routines
made him too cumbersome
to play by the ocean or
see rainbows in velvet flower petals
disturbing staid sidewalks
he tamed instead of grass

His first child developed leukemia;
he looked to God for comfort and
thought upon the equity of life--
garnering beliefs and sayings,
Nomen seized his own common sense,
discarded in his childhood drawer.
