Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A meeting of three writers

Of Norma and Jay and Me

We drove on 'cross a desert
and continued heading west
A hundred miles of nothing
till we saw the town Ridgecrest

Norma was there to meet us
a friendship finally sealed
Joining us at the table
was Jay Squires from Bakersfield

We talked about our writing
posting on FanStory's site
The friends no longer with us
those who showed me how to write

There are so many people
who have helped me on my way
Writing is now in my blood
and I fear it's there to stay

It's great to link name and face
from so far across the sea
I'll treasure today's meeting
of Norma and Jay and me

After years talking on the net it was great to meet two other Fanstorians who have provided support and encouragement over the years. Thank you to you both.

Just realised, the title is reminiscent of an old Rex Allen Jnr song titled; 'Hoppy, Jean & Me.'
