Trigonometry Professor

Ode to Mr. Ford

by krys123

At one time I had known a man
with richness in his heart,
that made all others understand
the reasons to be smart.

He was a teacher I once knew
who mentored me with hope-
his methods were ones I'd accrue
which helped me mostly cope--

trigonometry was so hard
as anything could be.
He never let the course be marred*
by having it stress me.

He made his teaching of this course
comforting and easy;
by teaching it with no remorse*
and learning it clearly.

At 6am when birds first sing;
two hours before each class-
he'd teach the most difficult thing,
so I'd completely pass.

Never will I forget this man
who wore bowties each day,
and taught me to understand
in his specific way.

He had a plan that worked so well,
like adding one and two;
as he made math easy to quell,
and learn it through and through.
