The colour of sadness

Forever Blue

Forever Blue


I close my eyes and dream in blue

In muted shades the sadness cloaks a gently fading dusk

And soft, slinking shadows pull navy tendrils east

Drawing my windswept locks of bold azure

Along the sapphire sands of my slumber


Tears fall crystal as turquoise ripples lick my heels

And fleeting whispers form words I cannot hear

Remnants of a memory long, long ago

Still haunting my dreams

That are . . . forever blue
