The Joy Of Life

by Jaxpoet

I'm sittin here just a thinkin' 'bout my joyful life
Without the pain of wealth or fame
That drives one's minds to strife

I got no mortgage payments
Don't even own a car
And sleep here in this ragged bus
I'm better off by far

The Lord He surly loves me
And I pray to Him each day
And thank Him for my blessings
As He leads me on my way

He feeds me down on Main Street
At the Catholic Church's aid
With coffee beans and bacon
And sweet buns all fresh made

The Lord He says that love is king
To love your fellow man
And give to all that need your help
To give all that you can

That's what it is my flashy friend
In that shiny black new car
It's time to give to those who need
You'll be richer then by far.
