Dead Man's Reef

by kiwisteveh

O, Brother, wake, and hear thy fear!
Our father dear
has come to grief
on Dead Man's Reef.

Within the grasp of wild wind's lash
and tempest's crash,
his barque was tossed -
all hands were lost.

This morn, the sea in sweetness rolls.
Oh, hark! There tolls
the old church bell.
It rings his knell.
