During a very painful season of life I felt like Jacob wrestling with God. I felt like I had given Him everything I had and the unthinkable still happened. As I wrestled with God and ask him what else he wanted from me; I had nothing left to give. He whispered, "Give me your pain". That experience birthed this song.

you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent.
