Breakfast of Chimpanzees

At a meeting with the president and senior vice president of a cereal company in Battle Creek, Michigan.


"What's the name of our new cereal, Smith?"

"Breakfast of Chimpanzees, sir."

"Wouldn't that be bananas?"

"It's actually filled with little clocks."

"What's a clock got to do with chimpanzees?"

"Both chimpanzee and clock begin with the letter 'C'.

"Yes?"

"The cereal has a LOCK on freshness."

"I have no light bulb ablaze above my head."

"The clocks WERE rocks."

"Yes?"

"Because Breakfast of Chimpanzees -- ROCK!

"So, we changed that, apparently. Wisely. Now it's clocks? Whose last idea was that?"

"That was Wilson, sir. He's in charge of branding."

"Get him on the phone."

RING!!!

"Wilson here."

"This is Boss Kellogg. You are in charge of branding?"

"Yes, sir. I am currently --"

"You are in charge of branding -- MILK COWS IN ALASKA!"
