Ribbons and Bows

'More Opinions, Politics & Comments' - #32-401-B
The world watches and waits as terror grows.
It gathers momentum that never slows.
Leaders pontificate as bloodshed flows,
while innocents lie in deadly repose.

None dare venture where the enemy goes.
Inertia paralyzes from head to toes.
No action is taken to thwart our foes,
while lack of direction compounds the woes.

PC reigns, fearing fortitude to impose.
Peace is preferred, wrapped in ribbons and bows,
but Armageddon will bring it all to a close.
Can humanity be saved?  Only God knows.

PC = political correctness
"Peace is preferred, wrapped in ribbons in bows." Everyone on earth wants peace except those who strive for total control of everybody else. There is no plan among nations to prevent terror attacks from continuing. World leadership is frozen in confusion. Inertia is the word of the moment.

Thank you for reading my poetry.
