Thoughts from a sermon

Gentle Rains

by patcelaw

In the thunderstorms
I hear the voice of God.
In the gentle rains
I hear the name of Jesus.
In the light breezes
I know the Spirit is near.

In the hands of the aged
I feel the strength of God.
In the face of a baby
I see the tenderness of Jesus.
As I see a mother kiss her child
I feel the assurance of the Spirit.

When I hear the ocean's roar
I feel the power of God.
In the towering tree
I am aware of my Jesus.
When I hear the birds sing
I feel the presence of the Spirit.
