When I look at you
            My heart skips a beat
 
When your name crosses my mind
                 My eyes close in pleasure
 
It’s not something you do …by design
                I doubt you even see me
 
But, my thoughts and heart strings
                   Are tied irrevocably to you
 
Bottled up, deep inside
                   Never to say them out loud
 
For fear of what I might see
            Reflected in your eyes
