   The seasons undress, cooling down my breath,

   Untying time with soft and stormy touch.

   Voracious hours consume the days we have;

   Without remorse, fate loosens now our clutch,

    Yet your love shelters me in life and death.

I wrote this poem after reading Sis Cat's beautiful story: Poetry and Poison.
While the poem is only loosely related to that captivating true story, this poem was a great outlet for the feelings that got stirred up reading Sis Cat's book. Thank you, Sis Cat for the inspiration!
