Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
I'm content.

Age becomes me.

by royowen

Age becomes me, so does the light
My eyes grow dim, not so my sight
The path ahead draws near my goal
My life's content as is my soul.

Celestial river, so deep the flow,
It feeds the heart, my spirit's glow,
This fire within cannot be quenched,
Nor feet be moved, from God be wrenched.

When I reflect on turbid youth
those tattered dreams that maze of truth,
Though limbs won't move their litheness spent
Within my heart my hope's content.

I once grew dreams on objects seen
And built my life on profit's glean;
But one by one my dreams would stall
Consigned to chance, and doomed to fall.

If I could gauge, define success,
I'd be a fool, in fact transgress,
To gain this world but lose my soul
It's only love that makes one whole.
