The Comeback

150 Word Dash Contest Winner
Just Like We All Thought!
"911."
"Officer down! Officer Down! We need a damn bus".
Cops converged on the Presidential suite of the Bonaventure Hotel, downtown Los Angeles. Helicopters hovered and dipped outside the shade-drawn windows. Swat teams and daredevils rappelled the hotel face seeking a vantage point.
Sergeant Tannenbaum slid the card, popping the door. At the table in front of a crackling fake fire sat a figure in a white hoodie. A lobster dinner complete with Dom Perignon sat on the table.
"Where's the officer? A call came from this room … Sarge, this makes no …."
"Oh boy, smell that?" Tannenbaum's nose crinkled. Drawn by the odor he leaned forward. "Vinegar? What in the world?"
A loud bang sounded. Tannenbaum reeled backwards clutching his chest.
The figure pulled back his hoodie and displayed a beeping electronic device. "Freeze, this whole place is wired to blow."
Rookie officer, Shaq O'Neal gasped. "Holy crap! It's Elvis".
