This work has reached the exceptional level
Living with depression

It's all in your head.

by rtobaygo

It's All in Your Head

It's all in your head
Just shake it off
You could have cancer
Or be crippled in bed

Snap out of it
Think positive thoughts
Play with the puppies
Go for a walk

You know you're loved
It could always be worse
So believe in yourself
A smile can't hurt

Be grateful for what you have
Count your blessings
Prayers will help
Find solace in faith

See it coming
Can't step aside
Dread the impact
You hurt inside

Killing all joy
People well-intentioned
They cannot help
Deep despair

Wait for deliverance
Meds should help
Words of encouragement
Return of self-worth

Confidence restored
Sky again blue
You live life
With hope renewed

For ten weeks I suffered from depression. This post is my reply to all those who gave unsolicited advice.
