'More Opinions, Politics & Comments' ~ #26-401-B

It's been a hard and bumpy ride.
Long ago I lost my pride.
My need for you I cannot hide.
I just want you by my side.

When you're gone I'm forlorn.
Another's comfort I will scorn.
When holding you I am reborn,
even though my heart is torn.

And I surrender to your will.
You are mine, I love you still.
Take me over the next hill,
for one is not enough to fill.

I pray that I can drop this mask,
all I have to do is ask,
but I'm not up to the task,
tightly held within your grasp.

I would refuse you if I could.
Others tell me that I should.
To turn my back on you for good,
I'd sooner die if I would.
