If I Could Be...

Animals Contest Winner

I'd love to have the wings to fly,
Above the clouds and mountains high.
To spin and turn to come alive,
To feel the rush, to feel the drive.

I'd love to see from eagle's eyes,
The glory of a bright sunrise.
To spread my wings in majesty
An eagle I would wish to be.

My mate and I would ride each cloud,
Fly in and out and shriek aloud.
To duck and dive, to feel the dew
That comes with dawn, to feel brand new.

I'd love to sit upon the peak,
Of mountains in the hope to seek
The feel of being close to God,
To fly and walk where'er He trod.

If I could be an eagle proud,
I'd fly away into the cloud.
