A poem for my daughter

by Belinda

When I was young and you were small
Your life circled around me
Now a younger one depends on you
And you become her sun and moon

This is just the game of life
Everything goes flowing down
Cascading like water in the stream
From up the hill down to the sea

So what's left for us, you and I?
Mother nature bares a secret
She says no one's an island
So the key word is, my dear

Happy Birthday, Daughter!
