The Mystic Diary

by krys123

Fame's awarded not, by applause,
and a woman whose name can cause
a glow of a wondrous pure light
is enough for an old story.

There she holds reality close,
and her dear love even closer.
A gentle love she had at birth,
and now nourished till life was new.

She dances in the dawn's moonlight,
in a newly worn, white frilled gown,
as the moon's glow follows her footsteps
in the shadow of an early morn.

She slow dances in her freedom,
and a lost longing for her past,
where there aren't any glass slippers,
and not a shattered looking glass.

In her mind goes a distant look,
to thoughts of knights in bright armor
with dragons breathing colored fire,
and great kings and queens holding court.

Her soft tears are hidden in books
of her passionate wonders where
her turning of old pages brings
her to futures without a past.

Her diary lies silent, closed,
till her daughter reopens it.
Then she blows out the candle light,
and closes her tired eyes and dreams.

In her vast dreams, she has visions
of her mother's past and her future.
Words bound by a recorded love,
written in thoughts, recalled by dream

A diary can be many things to a woman,
it's ones life's wishes and dreams.
