A Horror Sonnet

Terror knows no end

by kiwisteveh

Interred alive, cut off from any aid,
each breath I take, through trembling lips, is weak.
Around this place where I once worked and played
a thousand fearsome demons flock and shriek.

My skin begins to crawl and bloodshot eyes
perceive no help; the scene is barren, bare.
A horror darker than the tomb now lies
in wait. I'm helpless, tethered to this chair.

But wait, there's worse -- my terror knows no end;
already half a lifetime's slowly dragged.
My tortured mind can barely comprehend
how this has come to pass; I'm bound and gagged.

Beelzebub, you have me in your pow'r -
the Internet's been down for half an hour!
