Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
free verse

Crescent Moon

by mermaids

a crescent moon
embraces the night
sky full of shining stars

a black bear gazes
the happy scene
taking in the magic

while he digs
into man's disposables
chomping and savoring
the delights of human
consumption

the moon laughs
as the stars chime in
slightly exposed
the crescent moon
and hungry bear
encounter the night
