I'm drowning,
An everlasting void
Claiming its residence inside of me,
I gasp for air,
But no one hears me,

Still, silence,
I fight,
Clawing at the surface,
Praying that someone,

No one does,
I try to scream, "Help!"
But he won't let me,
"You're worthless," he whispers,
"Weak," he continues,
"No one loves you," he adds,
"Give up," he taunts,
Poisoning my mind with doubt,
Until, finally I stop fighting,
Letting the sorrow consume me,
Slowly slipping away to nothing,
You try to help,
Try to save me,
But it won't work,
It's too late,
You're too late,
I'm already gone.
