A New Outlook

I do not regret seeing 2014 end.
That it was a good year, I can’t pretend

It has left me with painful wounds to mend
Power to do so I pray God will send

Most of this year I have been feeling poor
So with joy 2014 is kicked through the door

Now 2015 will bring me another chance
This thought makes both my heart and soul dance

Worse, I don’t know how this year can be
From worry and depression I’ll be free

There is need to focus on what I love
Writing and crafts are gifts from up above

They keep me awake until all hours
Awaiting blooming of bright spring flowers

Changing to 2015 gives me much hope
That through the difficult times I will cope

This year I hope and pray will be the one
The spiral to depression will be done

2015 will set me free from misery
Only with this can I truly be free

So all the best that I wish you and me
We’ll live 2015 quite happily
